Terms of use

What you can expect from pathpipe, and what it expects from you.

Last updated 26 October 2026

About these terms

pathpipe is published by Clément Omnès, a private individual based in France (see the legal notice). You can reach us at [email protected].

You accept these terms when you create an account, by ticking the box on the sign-up form, or on the screen shown after your first sign-in with Google or LinkedIn. They apply for as long as you use pathpipe.

The service

pathpipe collects job openings published by employers, scores them against the profile you fill in, and lets you track the applications you send. It does not apply on your behalf and does not promise you a job, an interview or a reply.

Scores are computed automatically from the criteria you set. They help you sort openings; they decide nothing for you or about you.

Your account

One account per person, with accurate contact details. Keep your credentials to yourself, and tell us if you think they leaked. You are responsible for what is done under your account.

You must be at least 15 years old, and old enough to work where you are applying.

Price

pathpipe is free today. Paid plans may come later: their price and terms of sale will be shown before you pay, and you will have to accept them separately. Nothing you use today will become paid without your explicit agreement.

What you add

Your CV, notes and applications stay yours. You allow pathpipe to store and process them for one purpose: running your account. That permission ends when you delete them or your account.

You can record the contact details of people involved in your search, such as who referred you or a recruiter, only to follow up on your own applications. Do not upload content you have no right to share, or anything unlawful.

Importing a posting by link

You can add an opening by pasting a link to a public job posting. pathpipe fetches that page to read the posting. Only paste links to job postings you could open yourself; you are responsible for the links you submit.

Job data

Postings belong to the employers that published them and are read from the sources listed on the data sources page. pathpipe shows them for your personal job search; it does not licence them to you for redistribution, resale or bulk extraction.

Accuracy and availability depend on the employer. A posting can be out of date or already closed by the time you see it.

Fair use

No scraping the service, no automated bulk downloads, no reselling access, no attempt to reach other users’ data, no load that degrades it for everyone else.

If you break these rules, your account can be suspended. You will be told by email first, unless there is a security risk or a legal obligation to act at once.

Availability

pathpipe makes reasonable efforts to keep the service running, but it can be interrupted for maintenance or by failures. Features evolve and get replaced over time.

If pathpipe closes for good, you will be told by email at least 30 days before, so you have time to download your data.

Liability

pathpipe is responsible for providing the service described in these terms. You benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for digital services (articles L224-25-12 and following of the French Consumer Code).

pathpipe is not responsible for the content of postings published by employers, for the decisions employers make, for damage caused by a use of the service that breaks these terms, or for events beyond its reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer or a liability that cannot legally be limited.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. It takes effect immediately.

pathpipe can close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, after telling you by email.

Accounts without sign-in for 3 years are deleted, after an email warning 30 days before (see the privacy policy).

Changes to these terms

If these terms change in a way that matters, you will be told by email at least 30 days before the change applies, and asked to accept the new version in the app. If you disagree, you can delete your account before then.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. This does not take away the protection given to you by the mandatory rules of the country where you live.

These terms are available in French and English. If the two versions differ, the French version prevails.

If something goes wrong, write to [email protected] first so we can try to fix it together. If that fails, you can bring the matter before the court of your place of residence or any other court competent under the law.
